Republic Day speech for Students, speech on Republic Day 2024 

Good morning respected principal, respected teachers and my dear friends. As we gather here today to celebrate the the occasion of Republic Day. I would like to thank you my teacher for giving me the opportunity to speak about Republic Day. I would like to take this golden opportunity to talk about Republic Day and why we celebrate it with great ride unity and joy. 

Every year, Republic Day is celebrated on the 26th of January. Do you know why this date was chosen? We celebrate Republic Day to honor our constitution that came into force on January 26 Republic Day is also known as ganatantra Divas. 

Every year it is celebrated with great joy and  enthusiasm across the country including in every school, college, government and private institution. 

Republic day is celebrated by hoisting the national flag performing dances skits parade, playing instruments and giving speeches. The main republic day celebration is held in the national capital of India, New Delhi, at the Rajpath or kartavyapath in front of the president of India.

It's India gate the prime minister of India laya a wreath in memory of all armed forces who sacrificed their life for our country. after that there is the 21 gun salute unfurling of the national flag by the President of India and singing our National anthem. It is celebrated with great joy and it honours all the achievements of our country in the past year as well as the services and sacrifices given by our defence forces.

Paramvir chakra, ashik chakra and Vir chakra are presented to gallantry award winners, children who have won pradhan mantri rashtriya Bal puraskar for their courageous work in adversity. Ride pass the spectators on decorated elephants. This children are honoured and avoided by the Indian council for child welfare for performing outstanding performance of bravery and selfless sacrifice.

There is a military parade which showcase the strength of India's military and honoring these who have chosen to protect our country. On these day. majestic parades take place at the kartavya path, which are formed as a tribute to India.

It also features floats representing different states are ministries that show its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage. The Republic Day parade is concluded by dare devil motorcycle riding and group of aircraft flies in a special pattern by Indian Air force fighter jets over Rajpath.

I would like to wind up my speech followed by a moment of silence for the freedom fighters and the great leaders who sacrificed their lives for us, so that we can live in a democratic nation.
